Description
Daiwa J-Braid Expedition X8 Braided Line 50lb (PE 4) 300m – Multi-Colour
The Daiwa J-Braid Expedition X8 is an 8-strand braided line in 50lb (PE 4), on a 300m metered multi-colour spool, made for heavy saltwater jigging and popping. When you fish hard in the sea, braid takes a beating. Salt water and grit work into the fibres, the line turns fuzzy and weak, and it parts when a big fish runs or rubs on structure. That is a lost fish and an expensive re-spool. Expedition is built to slow that wear down. Daiwa’s IZANAS fibre gets a silicone “Coating PE” finish that repels water, so silt and sediment stay out of the line. A very tight weave keeps it round and resistant to fraying. The colour sections show how deep your jig is. Spool up and order online from Fishingmonk, with delivery across India.
Features
- 50lb / PE 4 strength: Enough to put real pressure on strong saltwater fish, so you can stop runs before they reach rocks or reef.
- 8-strand construction: A round, smooth line that passes quietly through the guides, so heavy poppers and jigs cast further.
- IZANAS fibre: Daiwa’s high-performance PE fibre gives consistent strength along the whole spool, so there are fewer weak spots.
- Silicone “Coating PE” finish: Repels water instead of absorbing it, so the line stays slick and lighter on the spool through long sessions.
- Doesn’t absorb silt and sediment: The grit that wears braid from inside stays out, so the line lasts longer in the sea.
- High weave count, tight braid: The line holds its shape and resists separating and fraying under heavy load.
- Metered multi-colour: The colour changes let you count line out when jigging and go back to the depth where fish are holding.
- 300m spool: Enough line to fill a 6000-size spinning reel such as the Daiwa BG SW 6000, which holds PE 4 – 220m, with spare left for the next top-up.
- Made in Japan.
Specifications
| SIZE (PE) | TEST | DIAMETER(mm) | LENGTH (mtr) |
| #4 | 50lb - 26.4kg | 0.28mm | 300 |
Best suited for
- Shore jigging and popping from rocks and breakwaters: PE 4 has the strength to turn hard-running fish away from structure.
- Boat jigging over reefs and wrecks: The metered colours show how much line is out, so you can repeat the depth where you got bites.
- Casting poppers and stickbaits: The round 8-strand profile and slick coating help heavy lures cast smoothly.
- Strong coastal predators: The line class suits fish like Giant Trevally, Queenfish, Barracuda and Seer fish.
- 5000–8000 size spinning reels: PE 4 is a common line class for these reel sizes. Check your reel’s capacity before spooling.
- Use with a leader: Pair it with a heavy fluorocarbon or nylon leader for abrasion resistance against rocks, reef and teeth.
- Saltwater care: Rinse the spool in fresh water after sea trips to keep it in good condition.
