Daiwa Saltiga X'LINK Fluorocarbon Leader 25–70lb | 30m Spool | Made in Japan

The Daiwa Saltiga X'LINK Fluorocarbon Leader is a 100% fluorocarbon shock leader made in Japan for anglers who fish hard around rocks, reef and heavy structure. Losing a good fish because the leader rubbed through on a rock is one of the most frustrating moments in fishing. This leader is built to reduce that risk. Daiwa uses its X'LINK cross-link process, a special Tough Resin and Nano Control manufacturing to make a line that is strong at the knot, tough against abrasion, and still soft enough to handle easily. It comes on a 30m spool in 25lb to 70lb, so you can match the leader to your target fish and main line. A good choice for Indian anglers fishing Kerala's reefs, breakwaters and estuaries, or heading offshore for jigging and popping.

Features

  • X'LINK cross-link structure: Molecules are linked together for higher strength, so the leader holds up better when a big fish pulls hard.
  • Tough Resin material: Daiwa's own resin blend gives strong abrasion resistance against rocks, reef edges and barnacles.
  • Nano Control technology: Improves knot strength, so your FG, PR or uni knot is less likely to be the weak point.
  • Low memory, easy to straighten: Coils come out quickly, which helps the leader sit straight and the lure swim naturally.
  • Soft and supple: Easy to tie and manage, even when you run a long leader.
  • 100% fluorocarbon, sinking, clear: Low visibility in water and sinks below the surface – useful in clear water and for wary fish.
  • DPLS parallel winding + spool band: Line is wound flat without stress, and the colour-coded band holds the tag end and helps you spot the size quickly.
  • Made in Japan: Part of Daiwa's Saltiga range, the brand's top saltwater series.

Ideal use cases

  • Reef and rock fishing (saltwater): High abrasion resistance helps when fish run into rocks, coral and breakwater stones.
  • Heavy structure and big toothy fish: Daiwa positions Saltiga X'LINK for heavy structure and large fish; thicker 50–70lb sizes give extra protection.
  • Barramundi (Asian seabass / koduva) in estuaries and backwaters: Tough enough for snags like mangrove roots, jetties and pilings.
  • Offshore jigging and popping: 40–70lb sizes pair with heavy braid for strong saltwater fish where a long leader is needed.
  • Lure casting from shore or boat: Low memory and supple handling make it easy to cast and keep lures running straight.
  • Heavy freshwater: Daiwa notes it also works in freshwater where big fish and structure demand a tough leader.
  • Skill level: Suitable for intermediate and experienced anglers who tie braid-to-leader knots.
