Description
Okuma Acuador Spinning Reel 4000A & 6000A – Up to 14 kg Drag, Aluminium Spool, 3+1 Bearings
The Okuma Acuador spinning reel is an affordable, well-built reel for Indian anglers who fish both fresh and salt water. It comes in two sizes. The 4000A weighs 295 g, gives 9 kg of drag and has a 5.0:1 gear ratio, which suits lure casting in backwaters, rivers and lakes. The 6000A gives 14 kg of drag and holds 300 m of 0.30 mm line, so it handles heavier bait fishing from piers, rocks and boats. Both sizes have a machined aluminium spool, oiled felt drag washers, a brass pinion gear and a corrosion-resistant body. That makes the Acuador a reliable first serious reel, or a dependable backup for anglers who already own more expensive gear.
Key features
- Multi-disc oiled felt drag washers: The drag stays smooth when a fish pulls line, so it is less likely to jerk and snap your line.
- Up to 14 kg max drag (6000A): Enough pressure to control strong fish from the shore or a boat. The 4000A gives 9 kg.
- Machined aluminium, two-tone anodised spool with LCS lip: The shaped lip lets line come off smoothly for longer, cleaner casts.
- CFR Cyclonic Flow Rotor: The rotor is designed to let air flow through, reducing weight and helping the reel dry faster after use.
- RESII rotor balancing: The rotor is computer-balanced, so winding stays smooth without wobble.
- Brass pinion gear: Precision-machined for steady, reliable retrieves.
- 3BB + 1RB stainless steel bearings with Quick-Set anti-reverse: Instant anti-reverse means no handle back-play on the hookset.
- Corrosion-resistant frame, side plate and rotor: Built to handle saltwater use when rinsed after each trip.
- Rigid metal handle: Strong and stable when you reel under load.

Ideal use cases
Acuador 4000A is best suited for:
- Lure casting with soft plastics, spoons and small hard lures. It's light (295 g), and the 5.0:1 gear gives a balanced retrieve. It is sold in drop-shot and soft-bait combos overseas.
- Backwater, river, lake and estuary fishing. Its 9 kg drag and 260 m of 0.25 mm line suit most inshore and freshwater fish.
- Beginners and improving anglers. It's simple, affordable and pairs easily with medium spinning rods.
Acuador 6000A is best suited for:
- Bait fishing from piers, rocks and beaches. The bigger spool holds 300 m of 0.30 mm line for longer casts and longer runs.
- Boat fishing for stronger fish. The 14 kg drag and lower 4.5:1 gear give more winding power.
- Anglers who want one heavier reel for saltwater. Rinse it with fresh water after each trip.
Not ideal for: heavy offshore jigging or big-game popping. Choose a dedicated heavy saltwater reel for those.
