Description

Daiwa 25 Tatula SV TW 100 Baitcasting Reel – SV Boost Spool, 7.1:1 & 8.1:1, 5kg Drag

The Daiwa 25 Tatula SV TW 100 is a compact baitcasting reel for anglers who want easy, trouble-free casting with light to medium-heavy lures. Most baitcasters force a choice: set the brakes tight and lose distance, or loosen them and fight backlashes. The 25 Tatula SV TW 100 is the first Tatula with Daiwa’s SV Boost. This two-stage brake on a 32mm duralumin spool controls the start of the cast, then eases off for extra distance. The T-Wing System lets line flow freely on the cast and lays it neatly on the retrieve, while HyperDrive Design keeps winding smooth and quiet. At 195g with a 5kg drag, it sits comfortably in your palm all day. Choose the 7.1:1 for all-round fishing or the 8.1:1 for fast lure work. Order yours from Fishingmonk today.

Features

  • SV Boost spool, 32mm duralumin: Braking stays strong at the start of the cast, then drops off automatically. You get fewer backlashes plus extra distance at the end of the cast.
  • T-Wing System (TWS): Line leaves the reel through a wide, low-friction opening on the cast, then the guide lays it evenly on the retrieve, giving longer casts and fewer tangles.
  • HyperDrive Digigear: The reshaped gear teeth mesh more efficiently, so winding feels noticeably smoother and quieter, and it stays that way under load.
  • Hyper Double Support and Hyper Armed Housing: The pinion gear is supported at both ends inside a rigid aluminium body, so the gears stay aligned when you’re cranking hard.
  • Hyper Tough Clutch: Reliable engagement every cast, with far fewer sticking problems than older Daiwa clutches.
  • Zero Adjust: No fiddling with the cast control knob for each lure. You set it once and control casting with the main brake dial.
  • Ultimate Tournament Drag, 5kg max: Smooth, steady pressure when a fish runs, with enough stopping power to steer it away from snags.
  • Compact 195g aluminium body: Small enough to palm comfortably, so your hand stays relaxed over a full day of casting.
  • Two gear ratios, left or right hand: The 7.1:1 (H/HL) is an all-rounder, and the 8.1:1 (XH/XHL) picks up line fast for quick retrieves.

Ideal use cases

  • All-round lure fishing, roughly 7g to 56g: The SV Boost spool handles both lighter and heavier lures without constant brake changes.
  • Crankbaits and topwater lures (7.1:1 H/HL): The steady mid-speed retrieve keeps crankbaits running at depth and lets you work surface lures properly.
  • Fast-moving lures and quick slack pickup (8.1:1 XH/XHL): 81cm per turn is ideal for burning lures, fast follow-ups and quick hooksets.
  • Casting in wind: SV Boost and TWS work together to cut backlash and line friction.
  • Freshwater and light saltwater: Daiwa rates it saltwater-compatible. Rinse it with fresh water after salt trips.
  • Beginners moving up to baitcasting, and experienced anglers: The forgiving spool and one-dial brake make setup simple.
  • Recommended setup: A medium to medium-heavy baitcasting rod with 12–14lb line or PE #1.5–2 braid.
